The BMW iX1 is a compact, fully electric premium SUV that brings BMW's Curved Display, adaptive LED headlights and a panoramic glass sunroof to everyday city and weekend driving. In Australia, BMW lists the iX1 xDrive30 with dual-motor all-wheel drive, a range of up to 400km (WLTP) and 130kW DC fast charging, offering a premium electric SUV for commuters, couples and small families.
Performance
The iX1 xDrive30 combines two electric motors with all-wheel drive, delivering up to 230kW and a 0-100km/h time of 5.6 seconds. BMW lists a WLTP range of up to 400km. DC charging at up to 130kW can take the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in about 29 minutes, and a high-power charger can add 128 to 155km of range in 10 minutes, depending on conditions.
Practicality
At 4,500mm long, 1,845mm wide and 1,616mm high, the iX1 is compact enough for city streets while offering 490 to 1,495 litres of luggage space, depending on whether the rear seat is folded or the removable panel is opened out. Home charging with an 11kW wallbox takes about 6.5 hours, or around 3.75 hours at a 22kW AC station, according to BMW.
Features
The frameless BMW Curved Display responds to voice or touch, and a wireless charging tray keeps phones powered. Driving Assistant Professional helps keep the vehicle in lane and at a safe distance, braking to a standstill and driving off again in stop-and-go traffic. A BMW Digital Key lets compatible phones or smartwatches unlock and start the car, shareable with up to five people.

Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) is a tax employers pay on certain benefits, including novated leases. In most cases the cost of FBT is offset through your lease using post‑tax contributions (ECM). Eligible electric cars are exempt from FBT, making them even more cost‑effective.
The process starts with getting a personalised novated lease quote for a BMW iX1 or other cars, including accessories, running costs and different lease terms. Once you’re happy with the package, it’s time to apply for finance.
