The BYD Atto 2 is an all-electric small SUV that measures around 4.3 metres long, making it easy to place in tight city streets and car parks. Available in Dynamic and Premium variants, it pairs a BYD Blade Battery with 345km of WLTP range, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) power, six airbags and standard driver-assistance technology, offering commuters and small households a practical way into electric driving.
Performance
Both Atto 2 variants use a front-wheel-drive electric motor producing 130kW, with a claimed 0-100km/h time of 7.9 seconds and a WLTP range of 345km. That suits urban commuting, school runs and regular suburban driving. BYD's Blade Battery is integrated into the body through Cell-to-Body technology, which the brand says improves torsional rigidity for better handling, while the small turning radius adds to everyday manoeuvrability.
Practicality
Cargo space starts at 380 litres and expands to 1,320 litres with the rear seats folded, enough for suitcases, shopping or sports gear. BYD's e-Platform 3.0 layout provides generous headroom and legroom for front and rear passengers, and an elevated driving position helps visibility in traffic. V2L lets owners power appliances, lights or a coffee machine outdoors, and a hidden cable cubby keeps the cabin tidy.
Features
Standard driver-assistance technology and six airbags support safety, while wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, 'Hi BYD' voice control and NFC keyless entry add convenience. The rotating touchscreen measures 10.1 inches on the Dynamic and 12.8 inches on the Premium. A panoramic sunroof is featured, and BYD lists ambient lighting, wireless phone charging and heated seats as Premium-variant features.
