Novated lease tax benefits on a Smart™ lease are a combination of savings, including:

Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) is a tax employers pay on certain benefits, including novated leases. In most cases the cost of FBT is offset through your lease using post‑tax contributions (ECM). Eligible electric cars are exempt from FBT, making them even more cost‑effective.
The process starts with getting a personalised novated lease quote for a Holden Malibu or other cars, including accessories, running costs and different lease terms. Once you’re happy with the package, it’s time to apply for finance.

- 4. A 5-year lease/loan term
- 5. Salary packaging via the Employee Contribution Method (ECM) and the FBT Exempt Method applicable to eligible electric vehicles under the Electric Car Discount
All quoted figures include estimated budgets for finance, charging and/or fuel, servicing, tyres, maintenance, Vero by Suncorp comprehensive motor insurance, and registration renewals over the lease or loan term. A residual payment, as determined by the Australian Taxation Office, is payable at the end of a novated lease. The specific residual amount will be detailed in your personalised vehicle quote.
