The Kia EV5 is a mid-size, five-seat electric SUV offered in Air, Earth and GT-Line variants, with up to 555km of WLTP range on the Air Long Range. A 5-star ANCAP safety rating, an integrated panoramic display, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability and a local ride and handling tune give families and commuters a practical, technology-focused electric SUV to consider.
Performance
Kia offers the EV5 as a 2WD Standard Range with 400km of WLTP range, a 2WD Long Range with up to 555km, and the AWD Long Range in Earth and GT-Line variants with 230kW and 480Nm. The Earth is rated at 500km and the GT-Line at 470km. Its multi-charging system works with both 400V and 800V chargers without an adapter, and Kia says the suspension was tuned through a local ride and handling program.
Practicality
Family-friendly space is central to the EV5, with up to 1,714 litres of cargo space with the rear seats folded, plus a 67-litre front boot. The cabin has smart storage, adjustable cargo hooks and interior V2L, while the exterior V2L connector on Earth and GT-Line can power appliances or electronics. GT-Line adds a rear seat table and heated and cooled rear storage tray for longer journeys.
Features
An integrated panoramic display combines digital driver information with a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, and Kia Connect with over-the-air updates is included. Heated front seats are standard across all variants, while GT-Line adds a head-up display, panoramic sunroof, Harman Kardon premium audio and surround view monitor. Safety technology includes autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, blind spot detection and rear cross-traffic alert.

Novated lease tax benefits on a Smart™ lease are a combination of savings, including:

- FBT and ECM balancing or exemptions
Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) is a tax employers pay on certain benefits, including novated leases. In most cases the cost of FBT is offset through your lease using post‑tax contributions (ECM). Eligible electric cars are exempt from FBT, making them even more cost‑effective.
The process starts with getting a personalised novated lease quote for a Kia EV5 or other cars, including accessories, running costs and different lease terms. Once you’re happy with the package, it’s time to apply for finance.
