Novated lease tax benefits on a Smart™ lease are a combination of savings, including:
Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) is a tax employers pay on certain benefits, including novated leases. In most cases the cost of FBT is offset through your lease using post‑tax contributions (ECM). Eligible electric cars are exempt from FBT, making them even more cost‑effective.

^ Pricing and savings figures are based on the following assumptions:
All quoted figures include estimated budgets for finance, charging and/or fuel, servicing, tyres, maintenance, Vero by Suncorp comprehensive motor insurance, and registration renewals over the lease or loan term. A residual payment, as determined by the Australian Taxation Office, is payable at the end of a novated lease. The specific residual amount will be detailed in your personalised vehicle quote. Your personal circumstances have not been factored into this estimate and your actual novated lease repayment residual amounts and tax savings will depend on your income tax bracket, your employer's GST processing method, the administration fees payable under your employer's salary packaging plan and your personal circumstances. Figures are accurate as of June 2026 and are subject to change without notice.
