The all-new sixth-generation Toyota RAV4 is a mid-size SUV offered in Australia with Hybrid Electric and Plug-in Hybrid powertrains. Performance
Hybrid Electric RAV4 models pair a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with Toyota's fifth-generation hybrid system, producing 143kW and 221Nm with a combined fuel economy of 4.5L/100km for 2WD and 4.6L/100km for AWD. Plug-in Hybrid XSE and GR Sport variants add up to 227kW in AWD form and up to 154km of NEDC electric range, with AC and DC fast charging. Braked towing is 1,500kg on AWD and 800kg on 2WD.
Practicality
The luggage compartment offers up to 705 litres in the Hybrid Electric and up to 655 litres in the Plug-in Hybrid with the rear seats in place, and folding the seats increases capacity for surfboards, golf bags or musical instruments. At about 4.6 metres long, it seats five with variant-dependent fabric, suede or leather-accented trim, and kick-sensor or button-operated power tailgates on selected variants.
Features
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto run through a 10.5-inch or 12.9-inch touchscreen, paired with a 12.3-inch digital display. Toyota Connected Services includes remote functions and a Digital Key, while Toyota Safety Sense adds Front Cross Traffic Alert, Safe Exit Assist, adaptive cruise control and Lane Tracing Assist.
